The Civil War is a semester class which will be taught as a seminar course. This means that students will be responsible for their own reading and research. As the facilitator I will guide discussions, assess projects and present my own research on selected topics. However, the bulk of your time will be spent mastering your own topics and then relaying this information to others students in a variety of ways.
Your mastery of the subject will be assessed on the following projects each 9-weeks.
1) 2 PowerPoint presentations 2) 1 Video Project 3) Essay Tests
4) Field Trip Scavenger Hunt 5) Other Projects that might develop
You may choose to do more than the minimum Video or PowerPoint Projects. Additional projects will be graded as the others are - in other words, they are not extra credit.
